I write about…

Book Review: “Diary of a bipolar mind” – Tiziana Iemmolo

The story of which Tiziana Iemmolo is the authoress: “diary of a bipolar mind”, Edizioni Pluriversum; describes the story of a woman, the story of a fighter.

At first glance, reading the title, I expected an intense and not very easy book, but I must say that I was taken by surprise, because the topic is not easy to deal with, nor to explain to those who have not lived it either directly or indirectly .

As usual, when I start a book I also read others up to a 2 or 3 at the same time, fitting them according to my time, but as I read the text, slowly, I immersed myself, both in the subject and in the story; and I was so completely enraptured to ignore the other two I was reading, to devote myself to this book alone.

The authoress, with her high descriptive ability, calibrating the terminology, succeeds in making the reader enter into the deepest feeling of the character; starting from the collapse to end at the hard ascent passing through the winning move of acting! The action is very important in these cases and begins with an unpleasant episode that happened on April 6th 2009, at 03.32, when the protagonist of the book is obliged to react and there is the focal point, what in mathematics and physics it is called the point of no return, in this case positive because after it begins the ascent in the protagonist’s life

In your opinion, will the protagonist be able to regain her life and herself? Rhetorical question; read the book and you will know it!

The preface by the Poet Marino Monti was fundamental for reading the book itself, as it was able to fully grasp the spirit of the text, offering the reader who reads for the first time the book by Tiziana Iemmolo, a clear overview with an emphasis on hope , which, one can find, in not letting oneself be overcome by suffering.

The facts that follow are clear, the reading is fluid. I consider this text, a “book of high value”, especially for the topic dealt with, not simple

Personally I am very happy to have proposed this writer to you: Tiziana Iemmolo and I wish her the best, and I hope to review another of her works, which I hope will be as beautiful as this or more!

Ad Maiora Semper.

I write about…

Book review: “A Fable called Life” – Rosalba Bianchi

The poems of professor Rosalba Bianchi, are collected in a small volume entitled “A fable called Life”, with the subtitle “dreams and reality”.

The first impression I had, looking at the cover; was that the book dealt with fantasy poems, deceived a little by that subtitle “dream and reality”.

First surprise, Rosalba’s poems deal with the real life lived with its joys and sadnesses. From her poems transpires also a feeling of gratitude and love, love that binds her to her partner, to her true friends, to life; and besides that there is also the beautiful memory of the people who are no longer there, as evidenced by the poems “Angelic Presence”, “Night Talk” and “Towards Father’s Home” which in addition to being very beautiful treat in a delicate manner what is in itself sad, that is the lack of a loved one.

I also found poems of a sad mood and worried about the future, and the new generations, such as: “The magic of Christmas”, where she remembers the time of Christmas and its magic without technology, which leads away from that which is the true feeling of the feast, that is to spend one’s time with one’s family and close friends, celebrating the coming of the saviour Jesus, according to the Christian religion of Rome.

The language of Rosalba Bianchi is immediate, the poetic technique is open and lines are loose, but there are also some rhymed poems and also poems in vernacular such as: ” Il natale ara casa mia ” (= Christmas at my house) and “simu chiri du sabatu” (= we are those of Saturday), very beautiful too.

The poetry level of this authoress is very interesting; in her first editorial experience. I am very happy to have proposed to you a poetess like Professor Rosalba Bianchi and her book “A fable called life”, and I am sure that she will still give us more beautiful poems, like the ones I had the pleasure of reading.

Ad maiora semper.

I write about…

have read this book about 4 times, and I have been conquered from the first pages, but let’s go by order; the book: “Fragments recomposed”, with the subtitle: “history of love and justice”, by Emilia Rosati, is a book that makes us reflect not so much on the condition of the protagonist’s life, but on the condition of the reader who finds himself reading it, these 130 pages were like a heavy Kafchian axe on the frozen sea; and it was, “like that something..” that you can’t read and proceed, but you have to stop to think; and reflect, About what: for those who believe they call him God, for those who do not believe they call it randomness; anyway luck has had, to have a family of its own, or to be: “Blood of those who raised you”. There is a saying “Not who give birth to you but who grows you up, you will call mom and dad!” For some it was, or it is so. This book deals with the issue of adoptions, starting, not “from the outside”, but “from the inside” of the question; giving very strong points of reflection and encouraging you to think, with the protagonist who fights, to recompose and complete her puzzle, searching for the piece, the one most important of all. From a technical point of view the reading is fluid thanks to a comprehensible and linear language, the preface, by Tiziano Scarpa, is very beautiful because with a small psychological and visual game, that is a stone fallen into the water, and the circles it produces on the crest of the water itself, immediately introduces the theme treating it as it should be treated, that is with great delicacy!

It was a great pleasure to read the book: ” Recomposed fragments ” by Emilia Rosati, and I recommend reading it to everyone, especially to young people.
With the hope of reading and reviewing her next literary work, I wish the author of this beautiful book so much Luck! Ad maiora semper!
